Privacy policy

Overview

This website works without analytics tools, without advertising cookies and without embedded third-party content. We serve fonts and images ourselves. We only process personal data if you join the waitlist or write to us.

Hosting and server logs

The website is delivered via Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you visit, technically necessary data is processed: IP address, time, page requested, browser identifier. Purpose: secure and stable delivery. Legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Retention period: as long as needed for delivery and security; Cloudflare does not state a fixed period in its privacy policy.

Transfer to the USA on the basis of the European Commission's adequacy decision on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; Cloudflare is certified under it. A data processing agreement with Cloudflare is in place.

Storage on your device

This website stores nothing on your device: no cookies, no local storage. The display follows your system setting. That is why the page does not need a cookie notice.

Waitlist

To join the waitlist you write us an email from your own mail program; the website itself does not send or store anything. We process your email address and what you tell us (for example your name, who you want marnis.ai for, your interests). Purpose: to inform you about the launch and to get in touch. Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, and your request, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Mail provider: IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany, with servers in the EU. Storage: until you withdraw or until the launch; after that we delete your message within six months at the latest. Withdraw at any time with a short reply or by writing to dennis (dot) fiedler (at) marnis (dot) tech.

Contact by email

If you write to us, we process your details to answer your request (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b or f GDPR). Mail provider: IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany, with servers in the EU. Deletion as soon as the request is dealt with and no retention duty applies.

What we do not use

  • no audience measurement and no advertising pixels (for example from Google or Meta)
  • no fonts, videos or maps from third-party servers
  • no sharing or selling of data

If we later introduce measurement for advertising campaigns, it will only be with your prior consent via the cookie settings, and this policy will be updated beforehand.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. You can lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; the competent one is the Unabhängiges Landeszentrum für Datenschutz Schleswig-Holstein, Holstenstraße 98, 24103 Kiel.

marnis.ai on your Node

This policy applies to the website. A Node.Bot processes your content on your own device; the optional Hub (hub.marnis.ai) and the iPhone app have their own privacy notices. They will be published when those services start.
